Hot summer.
In midsummer, a hint of fragrance wafts through the hot air, and the sunlight shines on the big tree, sparkling with golden waves.
At this moment, I hold the "Gold Medal" award certificate in my hand, with a happy smile on my face. I know that it is because of the implementation of the country's "double reduction" policy that I have the opportunity to participate in this recitation competition.
One day, the homeroom teacher called me into the office and kindly said to me, "Now that the double reduction policy has been implemented, you will have more time after class. Recitation is not your strong suit and interest? There is a competition now, and I have recommended you to participate. You have to do your best!"
With joy in my heart, I took on this "task" and prepared to show off my skills.
Holding the draft paper, at this moment, cicadas chirp outside the window. Sitting at the desk, my thoughts flow, feeling many inspirations waiting to be written down in my mind. I pick up the pen and immerse myself in the ocean of the "draft". Rustle, rustle. The only sound in the whole room is the sound of my pen on the paper, as if the cicadas outside the window are cheering for me!
Well, very good, looking at this completed draft, I am truly amazed!
I started practicing recitation, silently saying in my heart:
"Oh, my motherland, how beautiful you are..."
I integrated my infinite love for my motherland into the recitation, involuntarily adding gestures and expressions. When the recitation reached its climax, it was based on my years of recitation experience. I felt that the ground beneath me was not the floor, but the embrace of the motherland.
A few weeks later, the recitation competition proceeded as usual.
The crowd was bustling, and the stuffy air seemed to suffocate me.
"Number 014! Number 014! It's your turn, hurry up and go on stage." The announcer shouted loudly.
Standing on the stage, the spotlight shone on me. Taking a deep breath, adjusting my state, I began!
I recited, immersed in the tide of recitation, unable to extricate myself.
Reciting, reciting. Because I was fully immersed in it, I shed tears of excitement.
After reciting, the audience below stood up and applause thundered.
Under the wave of the "double reduction" policy, by making reasonable use of time and cultivating interests, it really can promote comprehensive development.
The scorching sun still shines.
In this competition, we have cultivated our interests and hobbies, and achieved our own success.
