The scorching sun.
Although the hot air blows against my body, it still cannot extinguish my enthusiasm to sign up for the recitation competition.
Sitting in the classroom, the teacher is announcing the list of students who have signed up for the competition. Well, unsurprisingly, my name is on the list!
In order to do well in this competition, I have made adequate preparations.
After school in the evening, in order to write a good recitation script, I collected a lot of materials. I selected and read, wrote and rewrote. The tip of the pen flew and danced on the paper. The process of selecting music was not smooth either. Many of the music pieces did not match my recitation theme. I listened once, and then listened again. After a few days, I finally prepared everything needed for the early stage.
It is midsummer now. It is not easy to practice recitation in such a hot environment.
There is no fresh scent in the hot air. Looking around, the earth emits waves of roasted air. I stand in the shade, holding the script, and vividly practicing. Beads of sweat the size of beans flow down my cheeks. Although I am hot now, the more difficult it is, the more I should not give up, but rather persevere. Every day, I can see figures striving hard for this competition under that tree shade.
After more than ten days, the competition finally began. With so many people, my heart became more and more nervous, thinking, "What should I do? There are so many people participating in the competition, they must have practiced better than me. What should I do? It's okay, I have prepared for this competition for so long, put in so much effort, I will definitely succeed!"
"Number 34! It's your turn! Hurry up and go in," the invigilator shouted at me.
The spotlight that can sing shines on me. I take a deep breath and perform with the best state I have been in these days. I saw from the corner of my eye that the invigilator had a satisfied smile.
A few days later, I received a medal, a gold medal! I was overjoyed, unable to describe my happiness. I finally succeeded in being selected!
Yes, actively sign up. As long as we have the heart and work hard, we will definitely succeed!
